how come yotsuba doesn't have any friends? i know that the ayases tolerate yotsuba constatntly imposing herself upon them and sometimes ena and miura let yotsuba hand around with them, but yotsuba doesn't have any real actual friends.

I was hoping Dotty would have became a regular character. She seems totally down for Yotsuba's hijinks.
Anyway, I don't think many kids have what would we call real friends until school starts.

Dotty is actually Tomo. Tomo, remembering the wonderful Yotsuba and her boundless energy, tries to imitate her as she grows up. Of course, we all know how that ends up.
