Usually torrents go faster than Rapidshare for me... I can understand if you have Comcast though, or another ISP that throttles torrents.

I have comcast and can download torrents at up to 500kB/s on a good day. It all depends on the number of seeders of course though.

For less popular things like a particular CG set or something, rapidshare may be preferable. For the latest episode of a new anime though, Torrents are better.
