(my definition of 'rare' being that I don't really remember ever seeing any of this before in the past year and a half)
In other words, I thought I had seen pretty much all there was to see, but a recent browse through Yahoo! Auction Japan turned up a lot of material that was completely new to me (I suppose this may not impress long-time fans too much)
The first 4 images in this thread are from mouse-pads (there are more AD pads, but those use recycled illustrations) The other stuff comes from sticker books and phone cards. I was amazed to see just how much Azumanga merchandise was produced in the span of just a few years.
Some pages from the Sticker Books
Hey, that one on the right looks familiar...
(Okay, those last two weren't all that surprising, I guess) Now for some phone cards, which we don't see all that often outside of Japan. Though these scans are somewhat decent quality, I really wish I was able to find many of these artworks in higher resolution and quality, but I haven't found them in any of the AD Visual Books or sources like http://animepa.csusm.edu/galleries/A-B/AzumangaDaioh/index.htm
I think this image is also from the PS1 game Azumanga Donjyara Daioh, but I'm not sure - I only know this art from the vectorized wallpaper version.
Another card with the Donjyara logo in the corner, perhaps a limited edition?
Last one for now, these glasses don't look like an official licensed product, but I thought they were funny anyway.
