actually i think the best way to end the series is to have koiwai dropping yotsuba off at her first day of school. kind of "a whole new adventure" type thing. i used to be all about finding out yotsuba's backstory (and in the early volumes i thought that was something he was inching towards), but honestly at this point i don't think it matters much.

Got hung up on the top of page 16. The kanji is 天拘 and my best guess for something literal is something like "obsessed/concerned with the heavens" but I'm not sure if I'm reading 拘 correctly here, and if I am, how to make it sound more natural in English D: Anyway, I'm moving on with the rest; if anyone has a suggestion for Ena's line I'd appreciate it.

I haven't gotten there yet, but that word is Tengu. 狗 is an archaic kanji for "dog" (and of course 天 is "heaven")

Hmm... I've been translating "tengu" throughout as "goblin" and after I got to page 21 and saw Koiwai saying 天拘 furigana'd as "tengu" it made sense.

Now, though, I can't read the kanji that the candy lady is saying on 27:4.

I don't know if Veers translated this page or not (the trend is for people to not bother with pages like this, and I don't blame them) but for anyone curious, the Yotsuba DX figure comes out on August 1st, and a special limited edition T-shirt Fuuka figurine with the AMW logo(ASCII Media Works, publishers of Dengeki Daioh) on her shirt will be available through mail order in the next issue, which comes out a week late on June 26th (since June 21st is the summer solstice and I believe a national holiday in Japan as well).
