What is "Gap" moe?

  No.196618

>>196614
From context, I'm guessing it's generating moe feelings by having some heavily contrasting aspects of one's appearance and/or personality, with enough of a "gap" between reality and what's expected that it creates a cognitive dissonance. Chiyo looks like a grade-schooler, but is as smart as (or smarter than) a high-schooler. Yomi looks all proper, but has this brusque aspect to her. That's what I get from Osaka's description, anyway.

Yeah, it's "mugyuu" (the symbol at the end is a ~, not a ん). It's just the sound of her squishing up against the glass.

Back when I was first learning my kana, someone on this board created and posted this game, which I found entertaining and moderately useful. The only difficulty I had was that the き and さ were drawn with a disconnect on the curved part, which I wasn't used to seeing. It also includes the archaic letters like ヰ/ゐ(wi) and ヱ/ゑ(we) which aren't in use anymore.

The "game1.mp3" is the music that originally came with the game, but I took one of the OST tracks and looped it as "game.mp3". You can use any music you want though, just so long as it's in that folder with the file name "game.mp3."

It's a strange doujinshi and the translation's a little strange-sounding, but Osaka is a strange girl, so I guess it's all good. What did she mean, though, by "just like Kimura-sensei"?

By the way, I was reading in the L.A. Times yesterday about how hard it is to fire teachers with tenure, and they mentioned one case of a high school girls' swim coach who was always making suggestive remarks but kept his job. So maybe the secret to Kimura's success is a strong union.

It's easier and cheaper to keep incompetent teachers than to fire them. All thanks to the Teacher's Union - part of the reason why the public school system in America is a goddamn joke.

She meant he's a pervert, just like Mr. Kimura (for trying to have sex with her on the roof with their clothes on).
