They finally put it up on their website:
http://yenpress.us/?page_id=1621

I think the description on the back fits the series nicely.

>"Sakaki - strong and silent with a soft and fuzzy center"

How many licks does it take to reach the center ?

"Let's find out. One, two-hoo, three! CHOMP!"

  No.201963   Report
>Tomo: The Mouth.

Let's see, that means Yomi is Chunk, Sakaki is Sloth, Chiyo is Data, and Osaka is Mikey.

Loving the new front. Makes me want to do the jitterbug while reading it.

I wouldn't mind triple dipping to get the new new Azu chapters if Yen Press finally decides to go through with it. But, they will probably won't.
I'll just do what Dorkus did and print out the scanlations then glue them together.

> complete with all the original color pages

That was the one thing I didn't like about ADV's version of the Omnibus.

  No.201971   Report

>Full color Omnibus

Holy crap that's a lot of ink! Regarding new translations, I remember one guy saying they removed the "he likes 'em young" bit from when Chiyo got bonked on the head with a magazine for forgetting her homework.

I wonder if they will do away with HIGH SCHOOL IS HIGH SCHOOL!

  No.201973   Report

>>201971
One of the original scanlations outright called him a 'pedophile'.
I wish they would put that in.

>HIGH SCHOOL IS HIGH SCHOOL!

I don't remember that part...

Osaka asks Kimura if, because he likes High School girls, he likes Chiyo as well. He says that High School is High School.

Yen Press is nice with colour.

However, it would have been nice if they'd waited until Azuma had finished releasing new material before making a release.

And where's my Bunny Drop, dangit.

Wow, I didn't realize Yen Press had Hidamari, too. I must get those to add vc:cush to my bookshelf!

Under the name "Sunshine Sketch" so keep that in mind when you go looking.
Of course, with the anime licensed under "Hidamari Sketch", it's all a bit of a mess in regards to naming conventions now.

Yeah, noticed that on the left-hand page there.

I think it's convientent.
Every get a strange look when you say "remember when Chiyo was working a Mickie Ds?!"?

  No.204894   Report

So, I just bought this. It should arrive in a week or so.

Good call or bad move? Was the ADV one superior? I've only read fan scanlations to this point, so I'm hoping the Yen-Press isn't total crap.

  No.204895   Report

I only skimmed, but it's not too bad.

  No.204905   Report

Not that bad? Oh, boy... well, I haven't bought it yet anyway, so I guess that money can go towards that new Twilight manga series now.

Wait, are you serious?

Are you serious? Twilight is practically a manga already. The Japanese translation has light-novel illustrations.

And since when has that stood in the way of some company squeezing another dollar out of a property?

  No.204958   Report

That true. I mean, the topic started with the second release of the Azu Omnibus, for god's sake.

(vc:) shi-eet!
