anyone know WTF is up with this whole 3 months between new yotsuba&s?
is there any explanation other than Azu's pill habit?

Azuma finally got his cute female assistant and ran away with her to Okinawa.

People got tired of it. Would you tolerate a manga where Miura gets locked in the basement with a sleazebag? Well, it happened. And now you have to apologize (and set things right) before it's too late.

I thought Miura was in Hawaii.
You don't mean...

I'm beggining to worry Azuma is losing interest in Yots. He tasted the freedom of Azumanga and he wants more...

He may be popular, but I don't think he has quite reached the point where he can just laze about for months just because he had a fight with his muse.
It seems hard to imagine someone making a living with producing ~25 pages of manga a month, even if it is Yotsuba&. Doesn't he have work beyond being a mangaka? Maybe that's taking up too much time?

with a decade of successful material under his belt, he could be doing quite well just of royalites, but maybe he is making cake under a nom de plume

Uh, wasn't there an article posted here only a couple days ago where he said 'manga was my life'?

Oh yeah, dude is still all about the mange, I'm just saying hat he might be starting to lose interest in Yotsuba specifically and wants to move on to something else.

...Or he's off battling Godzilla or something, I don't know.

He may not be successful to the point where he can just live off royalties for the rest of his days, but I certainly think he's doing well enough and has accrued enough good will and popularity with his body of work that he doesn't have to quite so rigorously adhere to deadlines.

Also doesn't his studio do a lot of design work? I don't know how involved he is with that side of things, I think it's mostly that Satomi guy, but there is that.
