You know, I don't even remember. I read the comics before I ever watched the anime, and I'm sure I had different voices for the characters, but now its the anime voices, from the dub.

I always hear Yomi in Christopher Walken's voice. It's awesome.

I read with the English dub--Osaka's Georgia accent is wonderful.

Now I remember.

The ADV translation had Osaka with a Brooklyn accent, so I imagined her sounding like Dr. Girlfriend from The Venture Brothers. It was pretty cool.

I read the omnibus before watching the anime. Here are my percived character voices.

Chiyo-Chan: The Scientist from Back To The Future, being a genius and all.
Osaka: A Jew from New-York, like a tf2 scout type.
Yomi: Nothing really, just an average voice.
Tomo: A loud, jock-ish voice that was always too excited and called everyone "brah".
Kagura: An Olympic athlete. Don't ask what I think that sounds like, but it's something like a voice that has faced many tough obstacles and overcame them all.
Miss Yukari: Boss Lumbergh from Office Space.
Nyamo: Nothing in particular.
Mr. Kimura: A creepy, slightly lisping weirdo. Anime version justified this.

Also I thought Sakaki would sound emo, being quiet, reserved, and depressed. I thought she seemed sad at times, and perhaps she is. She wants to get a cat, but her parents are allergic and most cats hate her. ;_;

I don't hear voices. Not since I started taking the pills.

I imagine mostly the Japanese voices except for Osaka, because I love her accent in the English dub.

And since nobody's mentioned Yotsuba yet: I imagine Jumbo sounding like Brad Garrett and Asagi sounding like a stereotypical stoner chick. Unfortunately for the rest of the characters, in my mind they get stuck with far less remarkable voices.

I think Torako would sound more like a stoner while Asagi would sound more like a valley girl. Guess Jumbo sounds like a black man in my head for some reason, not like Chris Rock or Chris Tucker, more like Jet from Cowboy Bebop.
Maybe that's just me.
