Yeah, fan-made, and short - but pretty nice to look at (I found it through a link on Pixiv).

How dare you speak badly of the Kuricorder Pops Orchestra?!

Nice animation.

OP, will you make the next one be a full episode? I can help provide the voice of Jumbo or Yanda or someone. If you need money for the animation budget I can paypal you 10 bucks later this week.

You're assuming that there are no honestly dumb people on the internet, Ralen.

Like I said in >>205821, I have a hard time distinguishing between the two on the internet so I usually assume people are being sincere, but that post just seemed too stereotypical for me to think it was real.

Real cute, but it would've been better if it was a minute shorter. Joke gets stale fairly quickly.

  No.206207   Report

>>206206
Red Zone Shift Change jokes are all about that length because they're matched to a pre-established audio track. Granted, some visuals pace the humor better than others.

One of the reasons why I liked the comic better than the show. The show meandered too much, but the comic was spot on with its timing.

And apparently, child restraint laws in Japan are pretty lax.

Actually, I always thought it was kind of a neat little detail that Koiwai (Jumbo? It's his car after all...) has this little device so the shoulder strap will sit in the right position for a kid Yotsuba's age.

  No.206267   Report

>>206246
Well, child abductions are still common in Japan right now.
>>206247
I've always pictured Koiwai having one of those kid-leashes to put on Yotsuba. I use to see those often as a kid myself. Do Social Services look down that now or what?

  No.206271   Report

>>206267
I think almost everyone has always looked down on them. On the rare occasions I've seen someone actually using one on their kid, they always get plenty of confused or nasty stares.

They're always been unbelievably white-trash, but I don't think I've seen one in maybe... 10 years?

It's not just that she's riding without a seatbelt here while the vehicle is moving (no one else is, either), but that she's also sitting in the front passenger seat.

At her age, I was legally required (under NY state law) to be secured in a booster seat in the back until I was about 8, and even then I still couldn't sit up front until I was 13.

Even if it's Jumbo's car, it shouldn't be his authority that counts, but that of the law; but apparently even that is pretty relaxed in Japan (if Azuma's depiction is to be heretofore believed).

  No.206278   Report

>>206277
Weird, I grew up riding in the front seat from the time I no longer needed a special baby car seat (assuming there were no other adults in the car since they always got shotgun).

And just because she's twised around doesn't mean her seatbelt isn't fastened. Kids are great at getting into all kinds of positions while buckled in. I remember one time when I was little I managed to completely change clothes in the back seat of a moving car, all without undoing my seat belt.

  No.206288   Report

>>206277
That's insane! In California, I guess you have to be in a booster seat till a certain age or weight, but it's not enforced at all. I never had to sit in one since I was four (maybe three. Was pretty young when I enrolled into kindergarten), same with my sister's kids.
Guess Californians are expendable ;)
