Never heard of the strip, but yes, it seems like something Sakaki has done. The art is terrible. The girl is simply not good looking, nor does the artist seem capable of drawing anything interesting. As my daddy used to say, "fuck what you can, fuck what you're able, but you try to fuck me and you'll be under the table." What I'm trying to say, is this author should be treated just the same as Gene Simmons.

Today's strip is a loving homage (or blatant ripoff, depending on how you look at it) to Azumanga Daioh, which is probably my favorite manga/anime of all time, and has been a huge influence on QC. I recommend grabbing a copy of the omnibus and immersing yourself in it, even if you don't normally like them Japanese-type comic books.

File this under "Another web comic about androgynous hipsters that STAND TOO FUCKING CLOSE TO EACH OTHER ALL THE TIME while trying to act witty on a couch".

I do appreciate the Azumanga nod, though, but it makes me appreciate the other web comics that have ended over the years even more.
Makes me wish the old-time /azu/ editors would come back and smite this shit, too.
