Do you have any examples from other chapters that show Fuuka's personality is shifting? I think this chapter makes it clear that this behavior is unusual for her. Koiwai says as much directly, and then stuff like the comments at the beginning ("Even the ride home looks fantastic?!"), make it seem like it's all just post-exam giddy-ness.

I imagine we'll see the old Fuuka once the cliffhanger of the trip to the electronics store comes to its thrilling conclusion.

Fuuka seems the same as always to me. I mean, happier than usual, but that's how everybody is after exams. She's been making terrible jokes and showing up unexpectedly on trips since day one. Or it could be second hand. With so many schmucks "upgrading" to digital, for years there's lots of cheap film gear up for sale on eBay, etc. It's just now the film and processing (esp. E-6) that's getting a little hard to find. But it varies by country and I hear that Japan (and a lot of Asia) is still pretty good for film photography.

The reason I like her so much isn't just because of what she does, though that's great, it's the fact that she has such a high opinion of herself all the while that she's utterly shocked to find out that others find any flaws with her. This girl has an ego.

It's no coincidence, then, that Chapter 45 is probably my all-time favorite. Fuuka has probably never looked so cocky so many times in one chapter before or since.
