The universal constants we know as "laws" allowed DA HOOCH to happen. I felt like suing the Universe when I first saw his abomination (which I never finished reading), but since suing is for pussies, I just decided to kick reality's ass until it dies. Since I cannot do that either, I chose to die of sadness. It didn't work and I eventually got over it; but the point is, that doujin depressed me to the point of wanting to die because I do not want to live in an universe where DA HOOCH is physically possible.

The NTR genre is not for the weak of heart, though that's really part of the point. It's supposed to be uncomfortable at some level.

And even at that, I still have mixed feelings about how absurdly dark it was. I would have liked FLL more if it was a little more light-hearted (it can be done), like Hakueki's Black Time (i.e. 'sup Mugi, 'sup Yui), even if it's arguably even less realistic.

I can deal with the shameless promiscuity and raunchy exhibitionism as an opulent sexual fantasy, but my non-reptilian brain intervenes with somewhat of a nullifying effect on my ability to enjoy the Requiem for a Dream-type stuff that Da Hootch revels in.

That's true, Da Hootch's (or Shindo Eru) work for more mainstream magazines is relatively tame compared to his (assuming it's a he) doujinshi. And I remember reading the letter >>210948 posted. He comes off like a pretty normal guy, and from that letter and elsewhere, he's shown to be very appreciative of his fans, and even has a sense of humour about his work being downloaded.

All that said, this work is just...wow. I don't know who he's trying to appeal to, but I imagine the audience that finds a possible infanticide arousing to be very, very, very small. At least I hope so, for the sake of my faith in humanity.

Yup, he was actually born in New York City, and moved to Japan only about 4 years ago. I think it's safe to say he's of Japanese descent though, which is why he can speak Japanese as well as English, though I guess it's possible he studied Japanese like crazy.
