Cool pun, bro. I bet you can't come up with another one.

>>212403
Nice pic, too.

Snow... it's like, so beautiful and relaxing when you feel introspective and calm, and when you feel energetic and wild it can be awesome and cool. Maybe it's because it covers it all with pure white, and even familiar landscapes become like new canvas, and whatever you're feeling gets reflected there.

Anyway, Yaaaaaay!

You just can't have a "cool" thread without Sakaki-San. IT'S JUST NOT POSSIBLE! AND WRONG!

NO I'M NOT OBSESSED!!!

>>What's cool about having no regard for your health

That's pretty much the definition of cool. You're doing something risky or edgy and yet you are calm and relaxed about it.

>>or the health of anyone around you?

Negative health effects of secondhand smoke is little more than propoganda. Read the "studies" on this instead of taking reporters at face value. You'll soon understand just how silly the whole "secondhand smoke" thing is.

Don't get me wrong--IMHO, smoking is gross--but there's no need to make up fictional reasons for banning or restricting it.

What an awkward day for a respected, peer-reviewed medical journal to publish this

The problem with that study is that it didn't actually correlate increased risk for disease and death to secondhand smoke.
It only took a survey on people's exposure to secondhand smoke, then using pre-determined risk rates from other studies, calculated the estimated mortality figures.
If you track their sources back, it looks like all the increased risk rates they used still originate with that original EPA study from the early 90s that many find questionable.

Original Lancet article attached.

Did you shoop Yotsuba out of that pic? The version with vc:bouth characters is even more of a testament to Torako's coolness, with Yotsuba exhaling in the cold to imitate her smoking.

Children imitating potentially self-destructive behavior is one of the negatives of smoking. That's why it shouldn't be labeled "cool".

What I hate is how they forget or don't care just how horrid the smell is to anyone who has a sense of smell, and how easily and tenaciously it sticks to anything.

For me, that depends on what they're smoking.

For instance, I happen to enjoy the smell of certain kinds of cigarettes, while other kinds are absolutely vile.
I haven't been able to determine which ones I like and which ones I don't though, since I never ask the person who I can smell what kind they smoke.
