A teenager down the road from me had these for sale for $4 each. I have almost no spare money, so these are the first hardcopy Azuma products I've ever owned.

Congrats on a good find. Now all you have to do is get a box of crayons and color in the pages.

I don't think anyone near me reads Yotsuba.

That's why you keep your mangas on the highest shelf when your little cousin comes to visit.

You've got cool neighbors.

I looked on Craigslist the other day to see what manga people were selling, and it was all Bleach, Naruto... and worse. Judging by that, I doubt any locals would be interested in taking all my manga magazines off my hands.

I got myself (overpriced) volumes 3 and 4 from a local con in the spur of the moment. I realized they were overpriced, but it was the first time I saw Yotsuba&! manga for sale anywhere near the horrible little place I live. After thinking it through and reminding myself the I am a perfectionist to the bone, as a student, I sacrificed some food to get myself the rest of the series from ebay with the help of a friend.

And since I got the ball rolling, and I had spare money after saving some, I just got myself this little book in my picture.

Along with more starving, some similar acquisitions, life decisions and various fantastic news, this is painting to be the best year ever in a while for me.

That's because nobody ever wants to sell their good manga...just the crappy garbage. Good manga is kind of like a nice old piece of furniture or a trusty old pickup truck in that regard....you just keep it.
