These are all homemade, so there would probably be no way to get your hands on them anyway.

I can't get my hands on ANYthing homemade. Like love. I'm so terrible at everything, from cooking to walking and even this cute animal game. It's all so hopeless.

Sore wa tabun, moe desu.

  No.218626   Report

Why not?
You have 2 options;
1)Since they are homemade, there's no reason you can't Google "how to make rubber stamps" and find out how to do it, and do it yourself. It's fairly straightforward, and though it does take some skill, it's easier than it looks.

2) Look for people/companies that make custom stamps. Find a piece of artwork you like and have them make a stamp for you. It's pretty reasonable, and you have a professionally done stamp.

Google is blocked in my country because people searched for things about the president that he didn't like so he banned Google. Also, I have friends who were hung by their thumbs just for reading Yotsuba& since her "life is pain" song in the video store was interpreted as a call to revolution.

You can ask a company to make a rubber stamp like that if you send them a file of the image you want to print.

Hey Ralen, do you know the guy who makes these? I'd like to buy some, like the "No" stamp.

I'm not Ralen, but I can help you. All you need is to find a local shop which does trophies and awards. Look in your local phone book (or online equivalent). Those kinds of shops will have a laser engraver which can make custom rubber stamps from a simple computer image.

not ralen or this other guy but if you live in the US i believe that office depot / office max may be able to make stamps from arbitrary images as well. it's been a while since I worked there, not positive.

Searched online and spoke to my locale crafts people, no one knows how to make stamps.

Maybe in Japan there is still an industry?

  No.221952   Report

It's pretty easy. I remember doing it in a high school arts class.
You make your design on a piece of paper, then ink it with something that bleeds through like a strong marker. Then you put it on top of a rubber sheet face down and cut along the design with a knife. The empty space in the design gets scooped out with a curved blade thing.

Good luck, have fun!

>Searched online and...no one knows how to make stamps.

Must not have tried very hard.
I found abut a dozen places that make custom stamps fairly cheaply, after about 1 minute of searching.

  No.222513   Report

When I was younger I made prints from linoblocks using Speedball lino-cutting tools. You can still get them. Amazon sells a kit for making rubber stamps with one Speedball tool. You can also get the other kinds of cutting tools from them.

Most good art supplies will have them.

If knew how to etch properly I could see myself getting into this.

  No.222515   Report

You can see most of these stamps were made by hand carving. But you can also use a chemical to etch the area away you don't want to print.
