I realize I already put the Asagi-as-a-sheep picture in a different thread, but I'm starting this as the official New Year's pic thread.

Apparently your "first dream of the new year" is the dream you have the night of the 1st, not the night of New Year's Eve. I never knew that.

  No.229652   Report

>>229651 That seems pretty counter-intuitive, but it's probably by the time that I've fallen asleep on new years eve, it's probably new years.

Cripes, this would've been a perfect opportunity to share the Danbo displays they decorated over at the Amazon facility I worked at over the holiday season; if only I had bothered to take a photo before they let me go.

Now I got nothing new-years worthy to share, here's a transparent father statue for luck.

They have Danbo displays at Amazon?

  No.229684   Report

>>229682 Oh yeah, made of boxes and everything. Granted, the kind of boxes they used to make them are a little off in terms of how they measure, but I'm pretty surprised they bothered to keep him as a mascot stateside.

Even the job application offices are adorned with him, be it on posters, an action figure on a desk, even some power point slides and the log-in screen when you log into a packing station. Though it seemed pretty evident that none of the higher-ups knew his name was Danbo, seeing as the log-in screen has him named Box-man of all things. When I first applied there, I mentioned to a worker that I liked all the Danbo decorations scattered around the office; he had no idea what I was talking about.

That's awesome and depressing at the same time.

Amazon ought to themselves sell properly proportioned Danbo costumes (for children and adults). They have the boxes for it already. Just don’t print their crap on them and ship ‘em all out in the head.
