I happened to be near Hamamatsu today and I am sad to report that Miu has destroyed her & Chi-chan's houses. No more roof jumping. Managed to get this pic of the garage though.

I like this wall now, it has a lot of style. Looks nothing like how it did when they drew it. And well... it's a bit sad to think about this but, are they re-constructing the house in the first pic because of the recent earth quake?

Yeah, a lot of construction was going on the city actually, all over.
I'm sure Barasui just used the location as an architectural/scenic reference, it's not actually meant to be set there and I doubt there's any connection to who lives there... or lived, since perhaps some new owners decided to re-develop the lot or something. That seems the most likely reason for construction for me.
The Noto Peninsula earthquake was over 400 km away, in a very different part of Japan.

I think Barasui must've at least visited the Itou house and probably Ana's house. The little bit of Miu's house that's shown in chapter 31 when the cosmetics salesman visits doesn't make sense. The door Miu's standing in front of when he molests her looks like it would either go outside, or the staircase next to it would go right through the center of the house. Even in Miu's bedroom the door is in a completely different spot in the manga than it is in the anime, while the Itou house stays consistent.

Also I wonder if the Itou house's kitchen and bathroom were remodeled IRL like they were in chapter 56.

OP here again. I went to Book-Off with a friend today and while browsing around, happened to find all but the latest volume for ¥100 each! Last time I looked (around the time of my original post) they had absolutely nothing since the series is so old so I thought it was a pretty lucky find.
