Other such crossovers meaning Hellsing, by the same artist.

>> No.114511

This stuff is atrocious. Some crossovers were meant to stay in the darkest recesses of the otaku mind.

>> No.114521

I laughed entirely too hard at these.

If by atrocious, you mean hilarious, I agree with you.

The Hellsing one only works if you've seen all of Hellsing. I suspect the same of the EVA ones, but I'm posting from a phone, and not going to read them panel-by-panel to check.

>> No.114567

True enough, but everybody and their dog has seen EVA, and Hellsing is also quite popular. Anybody that visits iichan this has likely watched both.
Anyway, is there more from this artist?

No U. Mandy Moore is funny, AND a nice person, so she beats you on two counts.

>> No.114652

Now, if only she knew the difference between "your" and "you're," not to mention the difference between "their," "there," and "they're," then...

>> No.114653

I have to ask...
Is this Mandy Moore person not a native English-speaker, or does she just teeter on the edge of illiteracy?

>> No.114654

>>114653

I like Mandy Moore's fan comics very much. I hope she won't take it personally if she happens to read this thread. I'm guessing, at least by her pen name, that she's from an English-speaking country. I personally don't see how English classes let people through without even making sure you learn the difference between "your" and "you're"--but frankly, there are a lot of so-called teachers out there who don't give a shit, so I'm not inclined to necessarily blame Mandy. My recommendation to her is just to run her scripts through a grammar and spell check first, and try to take note of the mistakes. That works for me, reminding me of words I tend to misspell.

I don't think being a non-native English speaker is necessarily an issue; look at Ragathol--you'd never know he was from Sweden if he didn't tell you. A lot of Europeans and Latin Americans, for example, have as good or better English online as the average native speaker, although it's been my observation few Japanese do. That's OK--I can hardly write any Japanese despite being a huge Azu fan ^_^

She must be pretty good if that's the best criticism of her work that you can mount.

About the non-native English speaker thing: I'm used to seeing the kind of horrible English my fellow non-natives speakers (I'm Norwegian) tend to commit. But I do find it hard to see why a native speaker of English should have spelling problems this heavy. Except, of course, dyslexia.

I could, of course, point out the unfunny jokes, the crappy art or that they're all typeset with Comic Sans.

Crappy, but rich.

It would suck if you couldn't tell the difference between a stationary cupboard and a stationery cupboard.

Even with the spelling system I find it to be a superior language to Norwegian.

>> No.114737

>>114732
Norwegian is one of the reasons our spelling sucks. Vikings invaded and bastardized the language.
