Looks great!
I bet there are better ways to do it though. Maybe use AI?
No.492
>>490I don't think any AI can color without messing up lineart yet, like a drooling autistic savant that can paint any photorealistic picture you request in seconds but can't figure out how a coloring book works.

>>511Can they be considered colored people now?
No.517
Added more detail to Matsuri's outfit and made Chi and Nobue's hair shinier.
>>513No the japs are honorary whites.
No.523
>>517>the japs are honorary whitesNo... I mean, maybe, but I meant they were literally white before, and now they have been colored.
No.525
I like how you make Matsuri slightly paler than the rest.
I used to buy old manga back in the day, and then I guess some American and European publishers didn't like to sell comics in black and white so they colored them. They never looked right.
It was a lot of extra work for them, and I wonder if it even made sense financially to color them. Like, I guess they figured they would sell less if they were B&W?
That's probably what they were thinking, and it's probably a wrong assumption.
No.528
>>526>If they did even a halfway decent job with the coloring then of course they sold moreWell, maybe. Specially back then when people weren't used to manga. In a market where most B&W comics were independent and subversive, I guess it must have been harder to sell manga without color. They flopped the pages too, of course.
The ones I bought weren't colored as well as this. Probably because back then they didn't have digital tools.
>especially if the manga was more about looking at cute girls than story.I didn't read CGDCT back then. I didn't even know such things existed. These were action and sci-fi manga.
Are you a person that likes manga but wishes they were all in color all the time?
Does the fact that more often than not they are B&W ruin it a bit for you?
No.532

No.551
its good bara changed designs, no way to tell miu and chika apart
No.552
I really like it half-colored like this. very stylistic, i guess i could say. Good job! ^.^
No.553
>>551Yeah in chapter 2 Miu gets pigtails so it's easier.
>>552It's more of an "I'd like to finish this in ~2 years instead of ~20 years" decision than a stylistic choice but I'm satisfied with how it looks too.
No.577
>>576Because they're so empty?
No.586
Are you really gonna color the whole thing? Pretty impressive.
No.618
On average, how long does each page take?
No.620
>>618A few hours. Nobue's hair takes longer than everything else combined and the mouths can take a while to get looking just right. Nobue's hair becomes black in the next chapter but at the same time Miu's hair stops being black and it looks like it'll be just as time-consuming. Volume 2 looks a bit easier because thicker lines means paint bucket can do more of the work.
I don't know when I'll have time to continue this if ever but anyone who wants to can go ahead. I'm pretty sure anyone can upload to the MangaDex entry. If anyone wants the color layers or Krita save files I can upload all of them to some temporary file hosts. Here's an unfinished page 42.

>>687Link doesn't work, what did it say? Also I wonder how mangaka are going to feel when AI gets good enough to color manga which could be any day now or a few years at most.
No.694
>>691used google to find some replies, i assume it just said what anon did, that "mangaka dont like fan coloring"
it seems to have stirred controversy and received alot of sarcasm.

No AI-generated images. Thanks.
No.705
>>700What? Is that a rule?
Not even AI of characters relevant to the board?
No.744
>>705Personally I'd prefer not to see AI slop here, especially if it's instead of real artwork by real people of which there's a vast and ever-growing amount. If multiple others highly object to this, feel free to discuss in
